Energy in the Mediterranean partner countries

EIB lending for energy under the Facility for Euro-Mediterranean Investment and Partnership - FEMIP - has increased dramatically over the course of the past ten years, offering incentive to schemes with a focus on environmental issues and energy efficiency. This publication offers an insight into the process of identifying eligible projects in the Mediterranean region, as well as outlining a number of EIB loans in the sector in the areas of transport and distribution of natural gas, electricity transmission and distribution, electricity generation and the production of natural gas.
