Callable capital and gearing ratio

On 1 January 2007, the subscribed capital increased to EUR 164.8 billion from EUR 163.7 billion. EUR 155.5 billion may be called to meet the Bank's obligations on its borrowings.

It has a statutory lending and guarantee ceiling of 250% of the subscribed capital.
