- Prospects for stability on the Eastern and South-Eastern borders of an enlarged Europe.
SESSION II:
Investing in Progress
Sub-Session 1: Regional Development and Infrastructure
- Priority sectors in the coming years (transport, environment, etc.);
- Contributing to regionally balanced development;
- Past experience with financing infrastructure (sound planning, bureaucracy, etc);
- Available EU Funds, long-term loans, regional resources, potential for public-private partnerships.
Sub-Session 2: Foreign Direct Investment
Experience gained in the various countries of the region with respect to:
- legal framework and law enforcement;
- bureaucracy;
- tax regimes;
- quality of labour force;
- access to finance.
