Business Unit | Risk Management Directorate (RM) - Credit Risk Department (CRD) - Project & Structured Finance Division (PSF) The successful candidate will: - Provide second opinions on new Project Finance (PF) / Structured Finance operations, and, when applicable, issue opinions on proposals to resolve post-signature events in these sectors in accordance with the Bank’s Credit Risk Policy Guidelines (CRPG) and RM/CRD procedures
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Bank’s Credit Risk Policy Guidelines (CRPG) and RM/CRD procedures to ensure that risks assumed by the Bank are in line with approved policies

Responsibilities | - Assess credit risks of new project and structured finance operations, including quality of counterparts and security
- Formulate credit opinions and formulate recommendations on investment proposals and associated risk pricing
- Validate counterpart ratings for project finance and structured operations throughout loan life and determine loan gradings for new operations
- Comment on draft term sheets, finance project and security documentation and give clearance on draft legal documentation from a credit standpoint
- Review risks and coordinate with other operational departments (OP, JU and PJ project team) structuring and mitigating credit risk
- When applicable, give second opinions on key ex-post signature events in line with the relevant CRPG requirement (e.g. proposed solutions to contract breaches and restructurings and on any credit-related changes to contracts)
- Whenever required, assist Division Head in the compilation and maintenance of the Credit Risk Policy Guidelines (CRPG)

Qualifications | - University degree, preferably in finance or a business related field. Post graduate education in a related field would be an advantage
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in credit risk assessment and/or lending in the financial sector (ideally in PF and or Structured Finance)
- Knowledge and experience of counterpart credit risk analysis and rating methodologies
- Familiarity with the review of complex legal structures
- Experience in equity valuations would be an advantage
- Knowledge of standard computer applications
- Excellent knowledge of English, and good command of French. Knowledge of other European languages would be an advantage
