On-line debate with the President of the EESC

On Wednesday 3 March 2004 , from 16.00 to 18.00 , Mr Roger Briesch, President of the EESC, will organise an online debate on Participatory Democracy .

Aim of the exchange of views is to examine the topic in terms of civil dialogue and within the framework of a long-term reform of civil society participation to policy and decision making in the EU. New opportunities must be provided for a partnership between the EESC, social partners and other organisations of civil society.

Participants are invited to mail their questions in English and French. Full text transcription of the questions and answers will be available soon after the debate.
