The EIB attaches great importance to engaging with civil society and building cooperative relations with its representatives.
Open and constructive dialogue with the other bodies representing European citizens is also a constant feature of the Bank’s work.
Operational cooperation with the European Commission is traditionally strong but has been particularly intensive for the preparation of the 2007-2013 programming cycle, with the objective of developing new synergies and complementarities between the operations of the Bank and those of the Commission, such as JASPERS, JEREMIE, JESSICA and the RSFF.
The Bank contributes to the work of ECOFIN on a regular basis but also to the other EU committees and working groups coordinating and preparing the work of other Council configurations, such as the Committee of the Regions and the European Economic and Social Committee.
