Work and well-being

Like all major financial institutions, the Bank is faced with significant changes in human resources terms. Consequently, in 2007 HR’s strategy has been reformulated and its priorities redefined. Taking into account those changes and with the aim of maintaining the quality of the administrative services, the new strategy is formulated around the following three pillars:

  • Excellence in Staffing,
  • Motivation and
  • Individual Development and Well-being at Work.
The main objectives of the new strategy are:
  • To attract high-quality candidates to the Bank;
  • ‘Putting the right people in the right place at the right time’;
  • To provide staff members with the means of working to their best level, so that they can contribute as fully as possible to the achievement of the objectives of the institution;
  • To develop the capacities of managers, and clearly define their roles and responsibilities in order to ensure their involvement, at all levels, in the day-to-day management of the performance and professional development of their co-workers (role of motivator);
  • Prevention; multidisciplinary approach aimed at addressing the social, medical and psychological problems of staff members (contributing to attracting and retaining staff, improving productivity, and reducing absenteeism and conflicts in the workplace).

Over the years the Bank has considerably improved the terms of employment of staff through different measures as well as its health and well being policy.
